On November 30, the fourth annual meeting of the sixth term of the National Fastener Standardization Technical Committee was held in Handan, attended by nearly 200 participants, including members and advisors of the committee, representatives from fastener manufacturers, research institutes, colleges and universities, as well as other invited guests. China Screw Network attended the meeting and provided on-the-ground coverage.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman Ding Haijun. During the session, a promotional video on Yongnian fasteners was shown, followed by speeches from Hou Youmin, Secretary of the Yongnian District Party Committee, and Beijing Jinzhaobo High-Strength Fasteners Co., Ltd. (Handan Branch), the organization responsible for hosting the event. Li Shufeng, District Mayor of Yongnian, then provided an overview of the district’s situation to the assembly.
This year’s annual meeting of the National Fastener Standardization Technical Committee was conducted in accordance with the Charter of the National Fastener Standardization Technical Committee and the Fastener Standards Development and Revision Plan. During the meeting, the work carried out from 2019 to 2020 was summarized, arrangements were made for the next phase of work, and relevant interpretations and explanations were provided.
According to reports, the three-day conference will also review and approve the proposed plans for the development and revision of national standards for fasteners; examine 13 draft national standards for fasteners, including “Swivel Bolts”; and review two draft group standards for fasteners, including “Mechanical Properties of Fasteners—Sorbidite Stainless Steel Bolts, Screws, and Studs.”
This year’s annual meeting of the National Fastener Standards Committee is being hosted by Beijing Jinzhaobo High-Strength Fasteners Co., Ltd. (Handan Branch). In recent years, Jinzhaobo has actively participated in the work of the Standards Committee, spearheading the revision of standards for steel-structure bolts and stud bolts and contributing to the development of standards for weather-resistant bolts. These efforts have helped enterprises improve quality and efficiency, strengthen their competitive edge, and meet the stringent quality requirements of high-end steel-structure construction projects.
