Product Overview
Shield tunnel segment bolts: The shield tunneling method is an underground, blind-excavation technique for constructing tunnels. It has been widely applied in subway, railway, highway, municipal, and hydropower tunnel projects. During construction, as the shield machine excavates underground, in order to prevent collapse of the soft-ground excavation face or to maintain its stability, lining operations must be carried out concurrently within the tunnel. The precast tunnel segments used for lining are reinforced with segment bolts. Given that varying geological conditions exert different levels of pressure on the shield, the design mechanical properties of shield tunnel segment bolts are available in several grades, including 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, and 10.9.
